Play Therapy
Meeting children at their level to promote healing and growth.
Why Play Therapy?
Play therapy aims to help a child’s growth and development. It is common for children to have a hard time verbally expressing their thoughts and feelings. Play therapy creates a safe place for children where they can express themselves, explore their thoughts and feelings, and make sense of their life experiences.
Through play, children can learn communicating with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others. Play provides a safe psychological distance from their problems and allows expression of thoughts and feelings appropriate to their development.
